Charity, Benefit & Fund Raising Auctions

Auctions have become important fund raising events for many institutions. Troyer & Associates conducts numerous charity, benefit and fund raising auctions every year.  Celebrity artwork, sports memorabilia, fine wines and luxury vacations are just some of the specialty items sold at these events.  Each year, our auctioneers participate in the Elkhart County Board of Realtors Christmas Auction to benefit local charitable organizations.  The Fort Wayne Community Harvest Food Bank has chosen Troyer & Associates to conduct its yearly benefit auction. The Club Foundation, which is the charitable wing of the Club Managers Association of America, the Canterbury School of Fort Wayne and the Fort Wayne Museum of Art have found that items previously sold at "Silent Auctions" fetch much higher prices when sold by our auctioneers.

In January 1998 Troyer & Associates conducted an auction for the Club Managers Association of America. The Club Foundation is the charitable arm of the private club industry, benefiting all segments of that industry -- club managers, students entering the industry, companies, clubs and club members. The Club Foundation was established in 1988 to make increased educational opportunities possible through the charitable funds it raises and disburses. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the Club Foundation held its 1998 annual World Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. The auction began following a keynote address to over 2500 attendees by former President George Bush.

One of the highlights of the auction was an autographed photo donated by Mr. Bush of his March, 1997 parachute jump. Bringing $500.00, the photo was one of many items sold, including golf carts, several golf vacations and other club related articles. Among other valuable sports memorabilia auctioned by Duane Troyer were a 1997 Masters flag signed by Masters Champion Tiger Woods, which brought $3,000.00, a set of Jack Nicholas Signature Series golf clubs with bag which brought $1,000.00 and a 1997 U.S. Open hat also signed by Tiger Woods and caddie Mike " Fluff " Cowan, which brought over $1,100.00.  Mr. Troyer has conducted this auction and many others consistently since then.
